Its great everyone should sign up……..eh no, actually that would be very silly. I’ve spent the morning watching scientology videos. It seems to be very much the Church of the Big Ego, indulging in the self important fantasies of the priveledged few. Its all a bit ancient Egypt if you ask me

And yet you know you’re drawn to it for some reason, something you can’t put your finger on. Why else would you spend all day watching Scientology videos even though you just said they were silly?
It’s interesting that you compare it to Ancient Egypt, because Ancient Egypt was an extremely powerful, mysterious, and effective civilization that changed the way everyone thought and the way everyone did things. For the better. Even day, the power of Ancient Egypt still resonates. And so shall it be with Scientology.
Even though you don’t understand it right now and you had a laugh by making fun of it, one day you’ll see what Scientology is really about and a lot of things will suddenly make sense, like all the fruit lining up in the slot machine.
Even now, you can sense the power and meaning coursing through the symbols of Scientology.
You’re on an adventure! Here’s the map:

It sounds like a load of old cobblers to me. I was asked in to do a “stress test” on the street, I was at a loose end so I did it, not realising it was a scientology recruitment thing until right at the end.
What I DID recognise was every single psychological selling trick I’ve ever been taught and as someone in marketing who used to work for a household name, I’ve been taught a sod of a lot of psychological selling and marketing tricks.
No religion worth its salt should need to manipulate my head to persuade me to join. It should stand up on its own.

Oh its a disgraceful exploitation of peoples vulnerabilities, there’s no question about that.
The main gripe I have though is that every time they try to explain themselves they just come accross as the biggest group of eejits, I mean, how the hell do you convert people on such a ludicrous premise?(that of being a religeon with no premise, prophet or immediately apparent value system)
They’re probably gonna come after me now, I’ll add them to the list
