Fact: I’m an absolute bastard. Last Saturday I did something really un cool and I don’t feel half as bad about it as I should. I dunno, I could and have done much worse things to people but this one registered an awful lot more.
Anyways it was a typical Saturday night and I was at a typical ‘girls excuse to dress up pre-planned shin dig’. I was there with a very good friend of mine, who is yet to talk to me since, whom I love dearly-possibly a little too dearly. And you know exactly where this cliché is going don’t you.
The fact that I made a move on one of my favourite people in the world doesn’t particularily bother me. It’ll be awkward for a while but neither of us will care in a fortnight. What does bother me is the way I did it.
Naturally, her being my friend, I didn’t set out to chase her. In fact, I was romancing another fair maiden when my good friend walked past. I was actually in, I had done all the leg work, all the crap that most guys hate but I really love. As I was saying, she was hooked and I just had to reel her in, bada bing bada boom bada bap another easy peasy 123 textbook pull. But I didn’t do that.
No, I didn’t do that at all. Instead I got up and walked off without saying a thing. Better still, I got up and walked over to another girl without saying a thing. Even better still, I got up and walked over to another girl to tell her that I really really liked her very much. Better again I slurred that I loved her-and she soberly didn’t feel the same!
But thats not where it ends. No ladys and gents boys and girls, thats not where it ends at all. I actually went back looking for the first girl, having treated her like dirt only a little while earlier I thought I’d make it up to her and we’d pick up where we left off. But Apparently she went home early that night. I feel like I ruined the poor girls night even though it was completely unintentional because I was really drunk and hence incapable of doing anything intentionally.
On the plus side, I discovered my new favourite shot that night; liquid cocaine(sambuka, tequila and golshlagger)

Alcohol is expensive. College is expensive. Put the two together and you know how I managed to spend nearly five hundred quid in the last month despite the fact that I still live with my parents and have no job.
I went on 3 college trips and to two 3 debs and I’m broke. On the upside though I’ve been drunk in some crazy ass places and woken up with some serious stories to tell.
Highlights include:
3 shots and 2 pints in ten minutes with some mad bastard from Belfast just before last orders.
Waking up in Limerick
5 of us waiting for the student bar to start serving at around 12 in the morning
A bottle of disgusting stomach churning wine from esso
Drinking cans at 6:30 in the morning at the spire
Being dunk on a ferry
Getting a police escourt to Edinborough
A pitcher of Guinness
Walking around a foriegn city in a toga
Stumbling out of the leisureplex to get the first bus home in the morning-in a tux
The state of some English girl I met
Law-the coolest bastard I’ve ever met on a train
Vodka from lidl(poison)
Deep fried marsbars
Getting back to the hotel at 6 and interrupting my roomate and his bird
Staying in the most ludicrously dangerous part of Derry, so dangerous in fact that the taxi’s took off their plates to enter
Making the same new friends over and over and over again
Stealing bottles of Harp
those 2 big red pitchers of something somewhere
Irn bru and deep fried mars bars
My balance sheet, it arrived yeasterday and it is hillarious

Tá sé seo uafásach ach táim chomh leisciúl gur chuma liom, ná léigh é mar ní fiú é
Tá an ghaeilge ar fud na meáin sa lá atá inniú ann. Bíonn sé ar an teilifís, sna páipéirí agus ar ndóigh an raidió. Ach céard faoin idirlíon? Cinnte, tá an gaeilge le fáil ar suíomh oifigiúl na stáisiún teilifís is raidió. Faightear é freisin ar suíomhanna na bpáipéirí. Agus dar ndóigh is féidir an ghaeilge a feiceál ar aon suíomh oifigiúl don rialtas. An bhfuil éinne amach ansin , áfach, ag úsáid an idirlíon trí ghaeilge don spraoi is don spraoi amháin?Tá agus seo chugat an fianaise. Blogadóireacht-ré nua an idirlíon. Is féidir le éinne blog a thosnú agus dá bhrí sin tá gach duine á dhénamh, fiú lucht na ghaeilge. Má téann tú á lorg bíonn sé an soléir go han luath nach bhfuil easpa de bhloganna ghaeileach ar an idirlíon. D’fhéadthá a rá fiú gurb í seo an chéad ghaeilteacht nua le tamall an fhada ar fad.Is féidir a bheith ag léamh faoi gach saghas ábhair iontu freisin. Léiríonn sé seo go bhfuil meascáin do dhaoine ag scríobh trí ghaeilge. Má tá meascáin ag scríobh trí ghaeilge cílíonn sé go bhfuil meascáin ag léamh trí ghaeilge agus I mo thuairim féin is rud an mhaith é sin.Rud a thug mé faoi dearadh ag léamh tríd chuid de na bhloganna seo ná cé chomh gnách is a bhfuil na rudaí ar a bhíonn siad ag caint. Is gná bhloganna iad ach trí ghaeilge. Sin é le rá nach bhfuil feachtais taobh thiar dhóibh. Níl suim acu ann, tá an meoin céanna acu uilig ‘seo hé mo bhlog , tá sé trí ghaeilge agus is Cuma liom má léann tú é nó muna léann tú é mar bheinn á scríobh ar aon nós’.Is é sin an rud is fearr fuathu. Níl ceann dóibh ag rá gur chaithfear an ghaeilge a labhairt. Tá siad ag rá gur rud álainn an ghaeilge a thaitníonn leo féin a labhairt. Ní chuireann siad aon brú ar an léitheor, taitníonn sé seo liom féin mar táim tuirseach tinn don dream eile a labhrainn ghaeilge ar son feachtais politiciúl is a leithid. Dénann na dhaoine seo phlé ar na rudaí a mbíonn ag tharla sa domhain agus dóibh féin. Tá sé seo I bhfad níos mó suimiúl ná a bheith ag caint faoi cúrsaí teanga an táim ar fad(nó ‘fadhbanna daoiní óga’ má tá an Ardtheist a dhénamh agat). Spreagann sé seo suim sa teanga i tslí i bhfad níos nadúrtha ná a bhíonn de gná.Tá fadhbanna áfach le bloganna sa tslí céanna is bhfuil le achainn rud eile. Ar an gcéad dul síos braitheann siad go thuille is go hiomláin ar suim na dhaoine a bhíonn á scríobh. Ní íochainn éinne as na rudaí seo a fheiceál agus dá bhrí sin níl duine ar bith ag scríobh mar slí beatha. Fadhb eile ná caighdeán na aistí a bhfuil le fáil. Is féidir le aon duine aon rud a chuir suas ar an idirlíon agus is rud dáinséarach é seo.Ar an iomláin áfach ceapaim gur rud maith an bhlogadóireacht. Spreagainn siad suim sa ghaeilge as a bheith suimiúl in ionad a bheith politiciúl. Freisin, tugann siad íomhá do saol gná daoine a labhrainn ghaeilge (cílíonn sé seo go bhfuil gná dhaoine a labhrainn ghaielge) as ghrá don teanga in ionad pointí a fáil san Ardtheist
